Professor Johannes Weyer and Kay Cepera took part in the 16th Mobility Science Forum in Duisburg.

This year's Science Forum Mobility took place on June 13 at CityPalais Duisburg. While the transformation of the automotive and mobility industry was the central topic in 2023, this year's event took place under the general theme of "New Players in Mobility", with China as a new player in the technology and software industry and in the field of shared mobility being discussed, among other things. Once again this year, SpringerGabler will publish a conference volume containing the papers presented in the parallel tracks.

In the track "Incentives to support the mobility transition" curated by Prof. Dr. Jutta Geldermann (Chair of ABWL and Production Management, UDE), Kay Cepera presented the contribution "Incentive mechanisms in the context of a change in mobility behavior" by Fabian Adelt, Marlon Philipp, Kay Cepera, Professor Johannes Weyer (TU Dortmund), Dr. Marcus Handte, Gero Hiegemann and Sebastian Willen (University of Duisburg-Essen), which synthesizes central research results and the methodological approach of the expired InnaMo Ruhr project (concept of integrated, sustainable mobility for the University Alliance Ruhr) and, on the basis of an identification of theoretical explanations of mobility behavior, finally determines that a combination of transport factors, individual attitudes and contextual factors is best suited for this explanation before discussing the concept of nudging in this context.

In the afternoon, Professor Johannes Weyer took part in the panel discussion moderated by Gregor Soller (Editor-in-Chief of VISION mobility, Huss-Verlag GmbH), which, building on the discussions within the various tracks, focused on the future of mobility.
